When it ended, he returned to Britain, jobless and unsure of what to do next. He said: «I came back at Christmas of ’69, completely broke. Why was she cast in this role when there are plenty of actresses who do it better? It baffles me. Her character is not interesting, just another role of an obsessive agent. Eddie Redmayne can do anything, his range as an actor is impressive, from dramatic theatre, musicals, movies. He never disappoints. In this role, he is solid in everything he plays. The plot is interesting and engaging… it’s funny how we applaud the Jackal… Not the agent in ME 6. The location of the series is impressive and the plot is high-octane exciting. It is not comparable to the original, it is an adaptation worthy of our current times.
